The hallways throughout the castle fell into a steady silence that had lasted for nearly an hour now. All except the near silent click of black combat boots on the tile along with the occasional clang of gold against the floors of the castle. The visiter was well known in the castle, though no one liked her. In fact, she was wanted for treason against the new king. Annoyance pricked at her as she made her way to her brother's tower. Tonight.....Jasiri would die for banishing her. Then she'd leave the lands to fall into chaos again. It was time to visit her brother again anyway..it's been far to long. Three months to be exact. Ebony hair hung loose down her back and a tattered robe floated after her, almost like a lost ghost following her through the halls. Deep red eyes narrowed as she neared the tower and her grip tightened on the staff. Tonight....she'd end it all!!

Soft footsteps were the only sounds that could be heard throughout the quiet tower room. Jasiri was pacing restlessly, deep in thought. His drawn sword was in hand, for he had been practicing his balance while fighting with it...but now it hung by its handle from his left hand, the tip just raised above the floor. Suddenly, he stopped, reddish amber eyes narrowing as he sighed. This wasn't doing any good.
Sheathing his sword curtly, Jasiri's gaze swept the room in search of something else to do. There wasn't a lot that needed to be done tonight, and Jasiri had been advised to retire to his tower and get some rest for the night. Yeah...as if. His restless personality wouldn't even let him sit town. Almost absent-mindedly, he wandered over to his window, and gazed out into the dark abyss of the night sky, and his kingdom below it. There was a tension in the air, and he almost had expected to see evidence of it somewhere in the lands below. But no lights flashed, no creature hissed, no shadow moved. With another sigh, Jasiri whipped around again, eyes still narrowed in thought. Perhaps he was just growing parinoid.

Click, click, click Kamenwati heard each of her brother’s footsteps as he paced from one end of his room to the other and that was before the doors even opened. Unlike her brother, Kamenwati inherited most of the dark angel traits, even the wings until her father cut them off when she was ten. Blood red eyes narrowed as she silently opened the double doors that lead to the staircase to his room. Just as silently as she opened the door, she closed them right behind her after all she didn’t want any of her brother’s pesky house keepers to see her….not yet anyway. For a mere moment, she paused at the bottom of the winding staircase to listen to her brother’s pacing; it was obvious that something was troubling him. Such a pity that in just a few moments, he’d be in a bloody sleep all in one swing of the staff and her brother’s life would be over. And so, she began up the stairway carefully letting each foot fall so that not a single noise was made. Since her banishment, she had been training for this moment with both Vampires and Dark Angels. These new techniques would prove useful in this battle. Within seconds, Kamenwati was standing just outside the heavy wooden door that leads into the room. Eyes narrowed again and all emotion had drained from the girls face, in this battle she couldn’t let her emotions guide her. With another silent sigh she kicked the door, which flew back and slapped the wall behind that. But, she did not enter; instead she had clung to the ceiling of the hallway. That’s right, the ceiling. A trick she had learned from the vampires. Now there was nothing left to do but wait for her unsuspecting sibling.

OOC// Lmao he's wearing HEELS!
IC//Just as he was drifting into his thoughts again, a loud noise interupted him. At the crashing sound, Jasiri whipped around. His reddish amber eyes surveyed the scene before him. The door had been forced open. "Subtle." He muttered with a roll of his eyes. One hand to his belt, his grip on the sword handle tightened, and he drew it slightly, ready incase whatever had interupted him was an enemy...which, in these days, was most likely. His searching gaze never left the doorway, although for a moment, Jasiri didn't move. And then, as if in slow-motion, he took step toward the door. Then another. His body was tense, ready for battle. Whatever had blown open that door was definately not the wind. And yet, he did not venture into the hallway, but instead, stood a few feet away from the doorway. He knew traps like these.
"Who's there?" Jasiri called abruptly, his voice sharp and deep.

For a moment, Kamenwati sat in sheer silence. Damn. He’s getting wiser. she thought bitterly. But, a huge grin cut across her face as she waited longer in the silence. She had given every emotion she had to the vampires and dark angles so that she could face her brother in battle….but, by the tone of his voice Kamenwati could tell he still had emotion though they were well hidden. Either way, she was here to kill her brother…or at least get a few stabs in. And so, she let herself drop from her hiding spot on the ceiling. Easily, she landed on her feet; her cold glare meeting her brother’s gaze. Her usual light brown hair was now ebony, and way past shoulder’s length, in fact it reached all the way down her back. Her white tattered robe falling to its place on her back and sides almost like a ghost falling with her; everything about her in the pale moonlight gave her the appearance of a vampire…yet she had a human-like glow to her. “My my how you’ve grown” Her usual energetic and kind voice was now as cold as the cement walls surrounding the siblings. And instead of love, a cold hatred could be heard in her voice. She made no move to attack, at least not yet. She would toy with him and ‘chat’ before killing him. Either way, this meeting was going to be fun.

Jasiri tensed as the figure dropped, ready for a sudden attack. But what he saw made him freeze. His grip on his sword did not loosen, nor did he let his guard down, but the surprise in his serious expression was genuine. "Kamenwati..." With grim recognition that dulled his surprise, he spoke his sister's name. He met her gaze warily. Already, she looked different. Her hair, long and dyed, as well as her cold demeanor...and voice. But then, what else could he have expected? She was living with dark angels....and vampires. Jasiri could practically feel the air's crackling tension. He had thought, if he and his sister ever met again, there would be a lot to say. But now, he although various things ran through his mind, he said none of them. He considered calling the guards, making her leave, attacking her then and there, or even asking how she was doing. But now...the only words that left his lips were cool, curt, and wary. "And to what," Jasiri's eyes narrowed. "Do I owe this pleasant little 'visit?"

His words and the way he tried to hide emotion from her cut a twisted grin across the girl’s face. Her blood red eyes never leaving his deep amber gaze, almost as if she were daring him to make the first attack. Her right hand gripped tightly around the base of her weapon of choice, a golden staff given to her by her father. He had told her that her mother had fought and won many battles with this at her side and now, Kamenwati used it to kill any who had interfered with her plots to kill her own brother and then leave his kingdom to the vampires. “Oh, you know the usual…….a desperate act of boredom.” Her cold voice sounded again. She felt the air nearly crack into tiny pieces, but after her meetings with the leader of vampires and the leader of dark angels, she was used to this sort of tension. Outside, wind pounded against the towers and the windows and that alone was the only thing that broke the silence between the two. Though, outside everything seemed restless, everything locked away in the tower was unmoving…almost as if they were waiting for a huge explosion. Even the twins seemed inanimate in the tension.

Jasiri's eyes narrowed further at this. He searched Kamenwati's face for darker intentions, which he knew were there. Tensely, he straightened, as the silence continued. At one time, he might have laughed at his sister's sarcasm, but these were darker days."Right," His voice was strangely quiet, as if he was trying not to shatter the fragile silence. "You're looking for a fight then," The tone was slightly exasperated, but it wasn't a question. Still, he made no move to attack....just then.
OOC//Sorry lol, museless. I sat here for like 15 minutes trying to think of something to write.

//Me too!! So, Iekika, my newest charrie will wander in.\\
“Of course not” Kamenwati’s sarcastic reply sounded again. It was obvious what she was here for, but she loved playing with words like this. Besides, she wanted to make her brother’s death as slow and painful as she possibly could. She took in a silent breath as she watched her brother for another moment and parted her jaws to reply. But, the sound of the doors creaking open followed by the soft footsteps of someone approaching sounded. Another grin from Kamenwati, but she didn’t turn to face the visitor….for that would mean turning her back on the enemy.
Iekika paused at the top of the stairs, her eyes locking on Kamenwati. She knew of this enemy because she was there the day she was banished from the castle. But, then why was she here and not battling her brother? The maid gave a slightly confused look, but she said nothing. She stood her ground, in case this wasn’t some make-up thing and Kamenwati was here for a battle. But, with a single moment, Kamenwati was behind her and a dagger held poised against her throat. She had defiantly trained since the two had last met. “Why, hello Iekika. Long time no see” Kamenwati spoke. Her dagger just lightly touching the skin on the maid’s throat, but Iekika didn’t speak. She was in a lose, lose situation. If she fought, she would be forced to use her vampire strength and powers…if she didn’t, her throat would be slit.

Another few moments of silence. Jasiri sighed. If Kam was going to force them to fight...then so be it. But just as he was about to draw his sword the rest of the way, the soft sound of footsteps interupted him. Jasiri froze, his gaze slowly wandering over Kamenwati's shoulder, and widened slightly. But before he could move, his sister had slipped behind Iekika and had drawn a dagger to the maid's throat, it's blade glinting dangerously in the reflecting moonlight. There was a moment of horrified silence before Jasiri's eyes narrowed again, and this time, his sword was drawn out fully and pointed in his sister's direction threateningly as he awaited any oncoming attack. "Let her go, Kamenwati..."He growled. "Unless you have nothing better to do than terrorize maids in an unfair battle...let's fight, then."

Kamenwati watched as her brother drew his sword against her, but she knew he couldn’t make a single move without getting the maid caught up in the middle of it. Another sly grin cut across her face “What are you going to do? Cut me down through the maid?” Her voice almost sounded taunting, daring him to do it. Her blood red eyes glaring at her brother in a cold hatred, “After all, what good is she to you?” She almost did have a point there, this castle was filled with maids and housekeepers and of all of them Iekika was caught in the middle of it all. I could cut her up here….or I could bring her back and offer her as a gift to the vampires. Oh yes. They’d love that. Whatever hint of soul Kamenwati showed earlier had disappeared as the thought of sacrificing the girl raced through her mind. She’d die a bloody death, and we could make the game much more fun if he watched her die. A blood red gaze locked on her brother once again as she decided on what to do now. Finally, she decided that she’d give the girl to the vampires to turn and join her army and then later on, she’d aid in Jasiri’s downfall. “I’m sorry brother. But, you see my…..troops want a sacrifice and she’s perfect.” Kamenwati spoke. Without waiting for his reply, she forced the girl to back out of the room completely but, at the top of the stairs Kamenwati froze. Her eyes widening slightly and a look of sheer shock had replaced her soulless expression. The dagger fell to the ground with a clatter and Kamenwati didn’t move to retrieve it. Without warning, she was a few feet off the ground…as if she was floating in mid-air. Her gaze was now locked on the ceiling. For you see, there came a time in all Dark Angel’s life where they receive more power and a new set of wings. Too bad for Kamenwati that this was happening now.
Moments later, she was kneeling on the ground and she kept muttering a chant in a different language. When her gaze finally fell from the ceiling, a single tear of blood ran down each cheek. It was obvious by just the new look in her eyes that she was getting more powerful by the moment. But, instead of taking Iekika, she pushed her toward Jasiri. “She’ll have to wait.” Kamenwati spoke, but the voice was that of someone else, of a much more powerful being. “Until we meet again Jasiri” The voice added. Even as the voice spoke, Kamenwati began to disappear completely almost as if she was fading away. And then, all at once she disappeared completely.

Iekika’s gaze followed the dagger as it hit the ground in confusion. What was happening? Before she could make an escape or turn to fight, Kamenwati pushed her forward. The maid took a few forced steps forward before falling to her knees. Though she wasn’t hurt in any way, she didn’t move. Annoyance and anger coursed through her veins, she could have fought Kamenwati of Jasiri wasn’t there. She could’ve turned on her ex best friend and she could’ve killed her….but noooo she was to busy acting human. She couldn’t bear to look up at either of the two siblings; instead she kept her cold glare on the ground. Her hands slowly clenched into tight fists. And Jasiri could’ve just killed Kamenwati right there…if he really wanted to. He could’ve stabbed right through her to Kam standing right behind her but he didn’t. Not that she'd complain or anything. For the moment, she merely sat there in her own anger.

His sword raised, although he wasn't exactly sure what he was going to do with it. If he attacked his sister, he could hurt Iekika.. But before he even had time to decide, something else had happened.Amber eyes narrowed in surprise and confusion at the scene before him, and for a moment, Jasiri stood motionless as everything played out...ending with Kam disappearing completely. His sword lowered, still wary that this could be a trick. He glanced around, tensed. Something had happened. And whatever it was, Kamenwati didn't seem to be coming back....yet. But there was no way to be sure. Shaken, Jasiri took a step forward, surveying Iekika up and down briefly. For once, his amber gaze held concern, but he did not speak right away. Unsure of what was going on in the maid's mind, he paused warily. Sheathing his sword, Jasiri sighed and lifted his gaze again to meet her's. "Are you alright?" He asked quietly, unsure by Iekika's expression to whether he would even get an answer.

Silence met the question spoken, almost as if she hadn’t heard a word he had said to her. Of course she wasn’t alright! She is half vampire, she could have fought back and left that damned girl scars to remember her by and yet she was forced to play everything out as a mere mortal. No one in the royal family knew of her ‘other’ half, at one time when she was still fairly young she thought about telling Jasiri and Kamenwati but she feared banishment. She was a monster, but it wasn’t by choice. Her mother was turned while she still had her inside, thus giving you this dirty blooded creature. Soon however, Iekika realized she hadn’t answered the prince’s question. Oh how she wished she could stand up and yell at him, tell him everything about the monster she really was. But she couldn’t, the words seemed stuck inside of her throat never to be let out again. The last person she told was her human father and he tried killing her. Eyes closed finally and a soft sigh escaped her lips as she pulled herself to her feet. She would again have to play out as a human, a frightened pathetic human. “I-I’m fine.” She stammered, her voice sounded slightly shaken. She could have nearly fooled herself with that line, great, over the years her acting skills have grown. “Is…………..She gone?” She questioned. Though, she knew the dark leader was gone by the scent. She had completely left the room; though her scent changed at the end of the little meeting she could defiantly tell that Kamenwati was no where near. She hated lying to Jasiri like this, but she had to. No matter how many years the two of them have been friends, all of that could change if he were to find out about her past.

Jasiri studied her for a moment. Iekika didn't seem alright, but maybe...that was just him. But, deciding not to push the matter, he turned. Amber eyes narrowed as if searching the stone walls for some hidden object only known to him, he sighed. Jasiri turned back to Iekika, his expression troubled by the events that had passed. This was his fault. He should have been able to protect them--both Iekika, just now, and Kamenwati from this fate. Maybe if he had heard her out instead of banishing her...but Jasiri shook his head. He had done the best thing for the rest of the kingdom, right? And besides, it was too late to go back now. But his burdens and responsibilities as a new king weren't getting any easier. Sometimes he wished he could just turn his back and ignore everything. But, with another sigh, Jasiri shook his wary thoughts away and concentrated instead on Iekika's question. "I...think so." He answered her finally, amber eyes narrowing slightly. "But I doubt for long."
