Branded Naruna Kao
Friends Blessed: Nara
Enemies Cursed: Kao
Years add up to:
Seventeen
Coincidentally Appears:
Seventeen [wow]
Born:
Hidden Half dark angel.
Luckily:
Femme
The Act:
Naruna never was one to be easily summed up; just as the saying, 'still waters run deep', there is more to her than first meets the eye; having quite the knowledge and array of how she wants to appear to others.
Upon first contact, and depending upon her mood, many have immediately described her simply; quiet, content, and uninvolved- while maintaining a solid air. Unfortunately for those unable to look beyond first impressions, most of these assumptions, while shallowly true, are rooted with much deeper and more twisted meanings.
Naruna, to her distant peers, in fact, speaks her mind as often as she is silent; but her answers are mature and collective- carefully contemplated and usually precise and to the point. The fact is that this vix would rather appear that way than stoic, or flippant as many often do; because of her rank, she must consider her outside image carefully. Luckily for those peers of hers, she is extremely dexterous and friendly when there are no immediate matters to attend to, and normally comes off as quite the refined, yet expedient young lady. To her not-so-allied peers, she can often come off cool, confidant, and extremely indifferent to their own shortcomings. After all, she rarely shows hers.
On the lighter side, when a selective character isn't needed, Naruna's true mannerisms come out. While still considerate of her words, she is actually quite adolescent when she can be. She'll go from completely and utterly angry at a loved one or friend to apologizing repeatedly and feeling sullen and guilty for judging someone so harshly. She's extremely passionate about her relationships with other people, and quickly becomes close to any who will let her in... while at the same time, racking her mind for reasons why others will not. Because of this, she has quite a talent for interpreting people's emotions- for the most part... Yet this also makes her slightly nieve, since she has never truly been able to understand why the humans, vampires, and dark angels have to be so completely and utterly seperate from eachother. She is excellent in the political sense, but her morals confuse her in personal relationships.
One of the most alluring attributes Naruna has is her unnateral ability to immediately attatch herself to loved ones... often making her, yet again, seem slightly childish... and extremely personal at the same time. It's no feat for her to quickly interpret and root herself in one's heart; whether wanted or not. For those that are more lenient outwardly... even if they have boundaries for relationships, find it hard to seperate themselves from her... simply because they don't want to.
While there are many positives, there are always negatives to one's persona... Naruna, when upset, becomes extremely difficult to qualm; she has shut herself away more than a few times. Likewise, if she cannot understand something from all sides, she becomes ridiculously passionate and one-sided, refusing any and all attempts to persuade her otherwise. Likewise, she doesn't easily find fault in others, and can allow many people to get away with more than they should... although once she has figured out that there is no positive chance for someone, she will certainly remember.
Attatched to:
Jasiri
Place in this Wretched Fight: Ambassador/Politico [Of sorts, maybe a sort of 'young noblewoman' who's fighting to keep Jasiri's kingdom in as good condition as she can... As well as... maybe having the power to consult directly with the warlords and what not. Kinda like an Adviser.]
Masquerade:
Naruna is around 5'7, with a tall, slim figure that matches her lifestyle. Her skin is faintly tanned, unlike others of her status, considering that since she is outdoors quite often. Her eyes are a vivid almond, almost amber color, and center in a face that contains both surprise and conviction. Her hair, which is the pride of her family, is a medium blonde color, and extends down to her waist at the back, while it is also cut near her jawling, and at her eyes; most of the time she keeps these locks back in a loose tie behind her back.
Naruna, when away from her father's [maybe one of Jasiri's lords or sumpin'] or acquaintances homes, guilds herself in a simple red and white kimono, the sash and obi tied loose for compfort; clearly showing her natural side in to the general to the public. During any matters that require her presence at the castle or around the countryside, she'll usually dress in a slightly more formal kimono, or her signature uniform. A black stitched skirt over a white lace underskirt, a sleeveless dress shirt with a back tie, as well as disconnected black sleeves with white under material, and a black ribbon tied around each arm... one also usually holding her hair back as well.
The following is a slightly younger Naruna, but the hair and formal outfit... not to mention the expression is basically still the same.
This image is closer to her current appearance... clearly she's sligthly more lithe, as well as more serious... the kimono [aside from the off-the-shoulder take] is the same as the one she wears most of the time.
Records:
Naruna was born, as any young aristocratic girl would be. Into a family filled with secrets and deceit masked to the public by an appearance of true confidence and false pride; though she herself could hardly tell as a young child- young ones rarely know the dark affairs of their families after all. She saw the truth of her parents' kindness, fair judgement, and ever patient words... yet she clearly missed the dark undertone of sarcasm between her parents. The formiddable truth was that her father had always been quite unwieldy and unnaturally cold with his servants... though what man wouldn't be when his wife had an early acquired a taste of passion for the opposite pole: man. The family's dark toned skin and hair were signature... branching back for generations from either side... It was no puzzle to Naruna's father when she was born with the fair skin and hair she had been given. Though who the true perpatraitor was, he was never to discover... But he raised her as his own, his passion for his wife lapsing as it pulsed for his new heir... The actual gap between the two wasn't realized until the death of her mother at the hands of yet another of her lovers. Naruna heard nothing of this until she was older of course...
As a young woman, she was raised along with others of her father's particular class and stature... though it was well known that she had a fair number of 'wilder' friends throughout her home. Unlike most girls like herself, her passion for others... as well as a keen eye and mind for 'adult matters', brought her to become unnaturally intereseted in the... politic affairs of things; bussiness, farming, crime... war. It was difficult for anyone to keep her away from the position she now has... even at her particular age. She always proved herself a natural, if not haphazard leader, and that... along with her disposition and wide awareness brought her quite a number of... connections; including those forbidden behind closed doors, as laws. She is now attaining her own position as an ambassador of sorts for her land... using her unorthodox methods to keep the relationships within this kingdom as peaceful as she can... although every resident has their limits.
Hidden Facts:
-Obviously it is a well kept secret of Naruna's questionable blood.
-Naruna's unquestionable loyalty has always proven itself, but she has a tendency to allow her compassion to travel to... darker trees in search of fruit.
-As of late, Naruna has harbored a serious desire to discuss more striking matters with Jasiri... to question him further about this war. After all, she wants answers to the lightly asked questions.
-Also as a recent turn of events, Naruna has had questionable... certainly unpolitic feelings for Jasiri, although they are deeply rooted and hidden. [Luff, not hate.]
Occupational Drawbacks?
Aside from her father, the only one's she'd regret being lost to... aren't aware of her regrets.
RPG example: Alright, I'm going to be completely honest. All of the old sites I've been on [I've RP'd for years, and I should have them saved... I know] ... So I'm going to put an example of a... chapter I wrote like two years ago... it isn't complete, and it's pretty nieve, I'm better now... promise! But... I'm really tired... so it's the best I can do...
It was as Celeste Malfoy in... an old HP RPG...

Celest sighed, sitting in the seat slowly, her stare still on her father. Leaning back against the chair, she paused for a moment, trying to think about what she was going to say exactly. "Well dad, first of all, I need to tell you that we're out of orange juice." She said humorousely, giving her dad a look that told him she was making her usual attempt at being mean to him. She, obviousely wasn't good at that, so she continued. "But really dad. I just wanted to come talk... we never talk anymore... I mean, I know, I'm in school. And I know, your busy a lot, naturally, but I was just wondering whats been going on lately. Y'know... I mean, I know you usually don't want to tell me. But we do need to talk more. Honestly, Rose and Ashley have been so upset about things lately, and I don't really find it worth my time to ask them, since they'll just give me their normal answers... y'know?"
Celest knew she wasn't making much sense. She never did to anyone in her family, including her father. And it was even harder when she was trying to tell her father something that was just so hard to get out. She doubted he'd be okay with her always hanging out with Tyro, and was sure he'd forbid her to speak to Ron if he knew that it wasn't a fight. Especially if Rose or Ashley told him first, that was always the worst thing. So she'd come the day after she'd met Ron, and was trying extreamely hard to sound casual. Reaching her arm back, she grabbed the tie that held her hair back and pulled it out, allowing her long, almost white hair to fall over her shoulders. She usually made this mistake. Reminding her father how much more she looked like him than either of her sisters, and how much different she really was. But she wasn't thinking on that at the moment, though it was obviouse something about that tender subject would come up. it always did.
~
Looking with a slight shock up at her father, she gave a scalding glare when he turned away from her, standing up, almost causing herself to fall over from the rush, but she simply stormed towards her father, grabbing his arm, and wheeled him around to face her, looking up at him was a look matching his. "Draco! I've come here for more than just to talk okay! I've come to be responisible and tell you what I've been doing that might piss you off, but first of all father, I'd like to show you this."
She finished, reaching into her back pocket smoothly and pulling out the dark wand she had only a few days earlier recieved. Holding it up sideways so as not to hit her father, she pushed it closer to him and asked in a cold voice, "How is it that you value Rose and Ashley so much when all they do is act snotty? I love them to hell and back but sometimes it's just sick okay? That's why I'm so different! I find no point in the useless fights! How is it that you value them so much when you've missed something so important that was right in front of you?"
Glaring, she waited for him to answer, knowing that what she'd said would raise his temper, but that it would be a surprise too, after all, it was rare a time when she came out so openly to him. Draco Malfoy didn't realize it, but his daughter was a little darker than he realized. Not as dark as her family maybe, but she held more secrets now than her family combined.
