The time? Jasiri didn't know. It was getting late though, he could easily guess by the fact that the sun had set long ago, leaving thousands of stars and of course, the moon to fill the now indigo* sky. But his amber gaze was not directed at these...or at least, it wasn't at the moment. No, now, he gazed out into the waters of the sea. From here, they gave such an endless illusion, that he could almost really believe they went on forever, stretching into the depths of the world and still running. It'd be nice, he imagined, to be out alone, sailing in the middle of the ocean, with nothing around you but endless water....nothing to worry about. But of course, he could never do this. Jasiri had a kingdom to run.
The young king sat in the sand, undisturbed by its temperature. Once, it had been very hot, warmed by the mid-day sun. But that heat, like, it seemed, everything else around him, had faded away into coldness. But still, his hands were pressed against it, almost absently as he stared out into the water. Jasiri's eyes narrowed slightly in thought. He had been here a very long time, merely thinking. It was quite a time to go to be silent, but he had done so, and it hadn't disturbed him a bit. He had watched the sun set, its golden glow casting magnificently over the darkened waters, and tainting them red. Red like blood. And when he had gazed at them, Jasiri couldn't help wondering if this would become a reality once again. If battles raged in these lands, which Kamenwati would see to it that they would, then perhaps this now peaceful land would now be stained with blood again, its waters dyed for a long while after. And whose blood would be spilled the most? His side...or hers?
Jasiri normally tried not to think like this. He couldn't, not around the castle. He had to appear strong in front of his troops, his friends, his kingdom. He would make sure that no one would find doubt in his amber eyes or in his expression. Grimly, Jasiri at last tore his gaze from the water's edge, where the waves lapped hungrily against the shore. Now, his gaze had turned to the celestial view above, where he soon became lost in the stars and in the depths of his own mind.
OOC//-Sniffle- Poetic...Lol, anyway *=Man, I love describing the sky as 'indigo'! Do you know who taught me that?? THE JUMP START FIRST GRADE COMPUTER GAME!! It was this Roy G. Biv. poem[Red, Orange,Yellow,Green,Blue,Indigo,Violet]. You know, the rainbow boy, and one line was all "I is for Indigo, Sky at night". Oh yeah. So from now on, anybody that mentions an indigo sky in their post gets KARMA!! Muhahaha! Okie, rant over.

((Lmao. Mmmm who shall come run into Jasiri at such a time? Kamenwati? She needs a good fight? What about......Iekika? Or both!))
Silence was such a prized treasure these days, unless you were Kamenwati. She couldn’t stand silence when there could the sickening crunch of human bone and the cries of dieing soldiers to fill this void the silence left behind. An army, she had been searching for so long to find such an army and so far? Three members. Three soldiers to attack Jasiri’s lands and take it all from him and of course there was herself to be added into that. But surely Jasiri had more members guarding him since their last encounter….after all the last time she had met with her brother there was a mere maid to protect his pathetic life. If it wasn’t for that stupid god that had joined in on her thoughts, she would’ve had them both dead within seconds instead of walking these shores alone. Movement only feet away had caught the girl’s attention now, the sight making a sinister grin enter her facial expression. All alone and lost in though stood Jasiri. That idiot really has a death wish doesn’t he? She thought, watching as the ‘great’ leader walked aimlessly among the shores. Right now with a simple bow and arrow, Kamenwati could take his life with a single shot. That sounded like a good plan. Except taking his life wouldn’t be so fast, she’d take him apart piece by piece. A few words were muttered to her golden staff that lay at her side and instantly the sword morphed to a bow and arrow. A dark gaze followed his movements for a moment longer, watching his gaze raise to the indigo sky above them.
Silently the bow rose against the black shadows, string drawn tight. With the only sound to give away the attack being the arrow pushing through the air, the arrow was almost sure to hit. Instead of aiming for the throat or even the heart, she aimed for his leg. This way the arrow would take him down and leave her to finish the weakened king off. Perfect plan followed by perfect aim. Tonight could be the night that this war would end with Kamenwati standing over the broken body of Jasiri, laughing. Though Kamenwati knew not to let such thoughts turn you cocky and arrogant, she couldn’t help but grin at this image. She knew her brother to be skilled in fighting, even if he was badly injured. She would have his life if this arrow hit. Dark amber eyes narrowed as she waited for that familiar grunt of pain, assuring the hit of her arrow. Until then, she remained hidden from his sight. Just for now. She would reveal herself just long enough to make her final blow. The white hood of her tattered robe now hid her ebony hair and most of her face, and another arrow in the bow ready to take aim as he fell or even if the first arrow missed. She hadn’t expected company tonight, none the less him. All alone and with out his guard up, this entire moment seemed too perfect. Never once did she stop to think what he could be lost in thought about, nor would she care if she knew. He was dead to her. He was since he banished her to live her life amongst the one’s she supported.

[ooc: Out w/o someone again!?! Shame... XD Naruna's gotta yell at him... lol Probably more, but ah well. Alright, so I wasn't ... entirely sure if Kamenwati shot the arrow... but I think she did... so... Naruna's gonna pop in and ... get involved... if Jasiri... doesn't do so well.]
Jasiri, what are you doing?
The very fact that she had to ask that question irked Naruna since the moment Jasiri had left the castle. Yes, she'd seen him leave. In fact, it was quite lucky, considering he was just the person she had been venturing to speak to when she'd come to the castle; and yet again it seemed the young king had decided to go out alone, leaving her in no position for choice... After all, she was an adviser... Or at least that had been what she'd told herself when she'd followed him. Making sure to stay far behind, and staying well off the king's beaten path, she'd settled with leaving him a long distance ahead of her, almost entirely sure he wasn't aware of her. After all, if he was used to aristo's following him, wouldn't he be more careful, or at least create some distraction?
Whatever the reason was, she was satisfied now. Although her stubborn side was telling her to walk right up to him and ask him what it was he was doing out here alone. Unfortunately her annoyingly softer side had gotten the better of her, and she'd decided he was alright for a while. After all, how often was it that a king had a chance to be alone? Theoretically at least... she honestly didn't know about Jasiri anymore. If she'd asked him, he'd probably just smile at her and tell her to come back with some more pressing matter... right? Right. That was precisely what irked her about him, yet always had her wondering. He was a king, and acted precisely as a king should, (Aside from the going out alone factor.), yet .... Well, it was simply a fact that Naruna had easily been able to tell what people were thinking about, what they intended... everything. She'd known Jasiri's thoughts before. Now, though... How could she serve him if she wasn't sure? How could she know what was going on in his head? She wasn't used to this, and clearly wasn't cut out for chasing around a king whom she'd rather just sit and talk to seriously. Yet... that was why she was chasing him wasn't it?
With the now darkened sky, Naruna paused at Jasiri's stop, her gaze remaining on the beach and Jasiri instead of the stars. Once or twice an abnormally large wave swept up the beach and she found herself knee deep in water. Upon these occasions she'd be forced to push a hand over her mouth to keep from letting out a ridiculous shout at the cold water as she quickly ran back to higher beach, away from the water. Luckily, she'd worn her white and red outfit today... and it mattered much less that she was wet and sandy... Irritated, yet less than she would be.
In the midst of one of these sessions, she let out a long sigh of annoyance and glanced up at Jasiri again, assuring herself that he was still there after all, and almost laughing silently to herself at the ridiculous position she was in-
Wait, what was that?
Pausing, Naruna stopped, standing up all the way and scrunched her eyes to see what was going on... Jasiri was in the same place he had been... Looking up at the indigo[haha] sky. No. Something was wrong...

OOC//Oh yeah, he's just so prudent, isn't he? Hehe, dun dun dun..
IC// It was beginning to grow late. Perhaps he should merely return to his castle. His tower, of course, would be a safer place to think than this, would it not? Jasiri furrowed his brow slightly. You're not untouchable. Far from it. It was something that many had said to him in one form or another, and which he himself knew well. And yet, the fact didn't stop him from wandering here alone tonight, for reasons only known to himself. But whatever confidence the king felt, he should have been more alert. Sure, he listened intently for any signs of approaching footsteps, but had he actually stopped to think about what he was doing, Jasiri should've been looking around him too if he insisted on traveling here alone. But his mind was elsewhere, and it was too late to avoid the coming situation.
Abruptly, Jasiri stood up, but whether he intended to return to the castle or walk elsewhere was uncertain, even to himself. But before he could even make the decision, there was a soft whir, and a sharp pain in his leg. There was a soft hiss, the sharp intake of his own breath. Jasiri cursed softly, kneeling slightly to inspect the damage. A long cut ran across the side of his leg, stinging painfully and bleeding heavily. Jasiri knew by looking that this was an arrow-wound, but that he had been lucky. The arrow had only skimmed his leg. There was no time to tend to it. In fact, the king hadn't even wasted a glance behind him to see where the arrow had landed. Instead, Jasiri gripped the hilt of his sword, raising a long, silver sword that gleamed dangerously in the moonlight. He glanced around warily, his amber gaze sweeping the shadows of the beach. Why had the archer aimed for his leg? One of two things could've happened. Either his attacker had horrible aim, which he doubted, or they were playing around. Biding their time. Grimacing, Jasiri attempted to keep the weight off of his cut leg, taking a step back and raising his sword. There was nowhere to take cover on this part of the beach, so if whoever it was shot again, his best and only bet was to try and dodge, and try to get a better idea of where the arrows were coming from. Cursing softly to himself for being so thick-headed as to wander out here again without help, Jasiri merely watched and waited. For whatelse could he do?

From her place in the shadows, she hadn't missed the other girl's enterance. For a moment, she wondered if she could kill the girl from her place now and rid herself of any trouble if the girl found her in the grasses. Amber eyes watched her and followed her gaze to the king on the shores. The look of worry on the girl's face told Kamenwati that she cared for the king, perhaps even more then an adviser would care for thier king. Yet, Jasiri was blind to both the girl's feelings and her presence now. She could use this later on, she could kill this girl easily with one shot now or she could let her live on. Let her live and be completely invisible to the young king. For now, it seemed as if living would be the best torture. Later, when Jasiri's eyes were open...she would kill that girl with pleasure. A slight sound from the shores made her gaze turn from the girl to the king on the beach.
As her arrow broke the skin of her target, a small but sinister grin spread across Kamenwati's face. From the way he carelessly looked to the shadows for whom the arrow came from, she almost tell what the king was thinking. He knew that she wasn't going to kill him yet, just play with him for awhile....until she lost interest in this little game. With another glance to the girl hidden in the shores, Kamenwati dropped lower to the ground. She'd switch posistions and aim another arrow. Now at Jasiri's right side, she aimed another carefull arrow for his right arm. Might as well take away his ability to weild that sword of his while she was at it. This time, she waited until the sounds of the crashing waves came to hide her arrow's sound. As the waves crashed to the rocks at the shore again, she let her arrow fly. Her deadly aim, aimed for his right shoulder or arm. That way, if it hit his arm it would injure him and if she missed his arm it could hit his ribs and kill him. Either of which, Kamenwati would watch in sheer amuement at her brother's blindness....and the fact that he hadn't thought to drop out of sight.

An arrow. It was an arrow that had found its way to Jasiri's leg.
You idiot! The thought was directed more soleley towards herself than outwardly, but before she could mentally abuse herself more fully, she focused her eyes upon Jasiri, assesing the damage done, and following his gaze sweeping the beach. Finally, her own gaze rested on the brush on the opposite side of the king, and she squinted - though it was clear she couldn't gather much more position that the fact that it had come from there; but who? Who would Kamenwati send to... Well... apparently there were only two explanations... Either they'd followed him here, like her... or they were here already. That thought trouble Naruna even more: that high of a risk to the king- Well, no time to scuff about that now. Her best guess was that it was either Kamenwati herself, or some other rebellious trouble maker... Right? Though... Kamenwati was certainly more than a simple trouble maker.
Biting her lip, she weighed her options. Jasiri still wasn't aware of her presence... and she was fairly sure whoever had shot the arrow was, considering the direction the two opposites were in. Either she could reveal herself... and risk distracting the king - no, that wasn't permitable. She'd simply have to wait... and make sure he focused alone... Stay aware of whoever it was, and stay out of this as long as she could. After all, if she got in the way while Jasiri could still act, she'd make it more dangerous many times over. No, if something did go wrong, she'd have to get in there when Jasiri couldn't do anything else. He had to do this himself, and her best option was to stay out of the way. Naruna was, after all, specializing in defense, wasn't she? Any course of offensive action for the king would have no effect... all she could do was get him out of there if something happened - some minion or trouble-maker would be hardly a matter for the king. Yet, if it were Kamenwati, and he was in trouble... how fast would she have to act?
For a moment her thinking stalled. If she had to, she would do it... but if she did, there would only be one chance, and either way she'd either get killed, or at best hurt. There was no other choice... Oh she was an idiot, why hadn't she called Autumn or another soldier along with her?
All she could do now... was wait?
Damnation...

OOC// That's okay, I think swearing is allowed -Makes mental note to re-read rules-
IC//Jasiri would only have to stand and wait for a moment, because before he knew it, through the tense silence came yet another arrow. It came with the crash of the tide, and he wouldn't have noticed it if it hadn't been for his position on the beach, where the moonlight shown before him. With a snarl, Jasiri did the only thing he could and dropped his sword, leaping blindly and quickly both left and downward to avoid the arrow. It had obviously been aimed for his arm, so he moved out of the way only just in time. He could literally feel the wind of the arrow as it swept past him, it too lost now in the endless, whirling sea. But now, Jasiri was left on the ground, and he gasped in pain at the sudden weight on his wounded leg when he landed on it. Waves washed upon the shore, the dark water dyed red slightly from the blood that washed off of his leg. He'd need to get help soon. Grimacing, Jasiri attempted to stand. It wouldn't be a good idea to stay on the ground for too long. Cursing softly still, he picked up his sword, and looked around with narrowed amber eyes that were alert with both fear and fierce determination not to loose the battle with the unseen foe. "Show yourself, coward!" He snarled, his grip on his sword tightening. The cry seemed empty as it echoed into the ever-lasting silence. His gaze never left the rocks where he knew he was being attacked from. Jasiri was positioned near the water, and there were no rocks or any means of shelter nearby. If he attempted to run for some, he could easily be shot down or attacked. But how long could he keep dodging the sniper?

“A coward? Now, Jasiri is that any way to greet your sister?” Her cold voice easily reaching Jasiri as she stood from the rocks. Ebony hair hung, rustling in the sea’s breeze with crimson eyes burning. In her right hand, a bow hung loose at her side and her left held that famous golden sword of hers. Shreds, or what remained of her robe, now danced in the air around her as she stepped onto the shore with the injured king. Kamenwati was never one for games; she grew tired of them much too quickly…just as she had done with this game. Her first arrow had done enough damage and Jasiri was just now feeling the pain that came with the cutting edge of an arrow. Besides, he now knew to expect the arrows. What a shame. Now, Kamenwati stood inches out of his sword’s reach a sinister grin still cut into the usually expressionless teen. Now that she had revealed herself to the king, it was time to bring that spy of his out onto the shores as well. Her gaze rose to the grasses and shadows just beyond the beach “Game’s over Naruna…you might as well make your appearance now” Her reply just loud enough to reach the girl ducking away from the king’s gaze before. Now that she had grew bored with that game, she had to think of a new one….something with much more pain and much, much more blood. Perhaps taking Jasiri to watch every one else in this kingdom die before she killed him? Nah that would have been expected of her and it lacked thought. What about killing the two females that held feelings for the king? Or better yet force him to decide which was more important to either him or his kingdom. Still, it lacked that something though she couldn’t place her finger on it yet. Maybe she should just kill these two here and now and forget the mind games and false hope?
Bow already tucked away to its place at her back and golden sword drawn, she faced her brother once again. It was a pity that she had wasted so much time over him just to see him die like this and was even more pitiful was that he wasn’t thinking that night. Or possibly any other night for that matter, “Now Jasiri….what were you doing out here all on your own like that? I couldn’t have someone else kill you before I could…..” Her gaze rising to Naruna again “It’s such a shame that even the king couldn’t be trusted off on his own.” She added, turning her gaze to Jasiri again. She’d mess around a bit pretending to make small talk while her bandits raided Jasiri’s castle and took Iekika’s life. You see, just last night Kamenwati found out about the girl’s secret and saw her as a potential threat to her plans. And Kamenwati wasn’t the type to let her plans be foiled by a simple maid. “So tell me Jasiri. What are you doing out alone on a night such as this?”

ooc:sorry if this is uber short tonight... I'm just kinda out of it haha. I'll make up for it!]
Closing her eyes in irritation, Naruna stood to her full height finally; decision clear in her eyes as they raised to rest on Kamenwati; her eternal vice. Her own expression mirrored the other girls... yet her appearance struck a vivid difference from Kamenwati's. Like night and day, her own light hair raised in the breeze, carried by it... her golden hued eyes connecting with those of crimson for a moment as if they were the only two there. "Kamenwati," She finally greeted with an even tone. What could be going on in the head of that being? There were a few obvious ideas, since it wasn't too hard to figure out someone's train of thought at a time like this; finishing the king of, measurements, mock? One could only guess. Naruna knew that she herself could pose no physical threat as of now... Yet there was still a sliver of a chance, she'd simply have to wait and see what decision her king would make – until then she could do nothing.
After she’d walked closer to the two, while remaining a stone’s throw away and further away from the ocean itself, she looked towards Kamenwati again, waiting for her to speak with empty eyes. She’d only seen her a few times, but Naruna knew not to underestimate this enemy, and knew the bare silver lining of her power. Kamenwati was after all, the one who’d nearly overthrown this kingdom, and with the king… Well, there wasn’t much Naruna herself could say confidently about Jasiri as of now; that he was weak, strong, foolish, wise, confidant? No, she herself, the one who had brought about what little galvanization she could, hardly knew what to expect of her king now. He still had to show her. Even here, in the spot that make her feel ridiculously like a knight on a chess board; able to maneuver differently and farther than most – yet no where near the ability of the two pieces who held all the sway. This, here was ridiculous.
At Kamenwati’s words to Jasiri, Naruna looked to him for the first time, her eyes unreadable. After all, she didn’t have the slightest idea what to communicate… his sister would easily pick up any inclination no doubt. She’d simply have to hope he’d make a wise choice and she’d know what to do when the time came.
[ooc: um... ok, so... she's leaving it open for the king to... I dunno.. do something... and just hope she'll assume the right thing... And... as Naruna hinted earlier ... entirely to herself, she can still help him escape.... but defensively... not really any chance if she's supposed to attack. O.O But I guess Jasiri should know that, so thar ya go.]
