Silence ruled these lands as a lion were to rule over his lands and pride, lands blacker then the night sky. There was no trees here, no green bushes, not even the smallest shrub fit in here. No. These lands were nothing but endless meadows of ash and still burning lava spilled from the volcano just a short walk away from where Kamenwati stood. Yes, Kamenwati. A tattered robe rose and fell with the occasional breeze these lands held, black hair hung loose covering the back of the leader. It had been nearly a year since leaving Jasiri and his lands, and how pitiful she was. She had collected one, one vampire to use as a troop and she was the only dark angel that was on her side. Yes, her and Chase were the only ones left fighting Jasiri, but her brother had no room to speak. He had a mere maid fighting for him the last time she had ‘spoke’ with him and what a fun visit that had been. She’d have to do it again sometime. Either way, Kamenwati stood in the black meadows of ash that surrounds the volcano, her amber eyes nearly matching the color of the burning liquid inside the volcano. In one hand, her golden staff and the other…nothing yet and there lays the mission. Kamenwati was told of a jewel, hidden deep within the volcano…a jewel that allows much more power added to the one that hold it in their possession, how did the half breed know? Let’s just say the big beastie told her about it while he used her body as a puppet. The girl appeared, at first glance, young and completely helpless but if one were to attack her, they’d find many new surprises and not only that they’d find out that this half-blooded leader was quite short on patience lately. She blamed her shortness on troops and who could take her against that? After all, Kamenwati controlled hundreds at one time only to have her entire group of followers fall at Jasiri’s troops…she took the rest of her brother’s army….so both siblings had control of no one. But she wouldn’t take Jasiri for an idiot; her brother would be collecting followers too and training, just as she and she wouldn’t let him win…not now. Right now, Kamenwati was completely lost in emotions, hate, anger, annoyance and fear…and a few more of her least favorite things. She hated emotion more then she hated her sibling, it was weakness and they ruined everything. Heaving a silent sigh of annoyance from reoccurring thoughts of her brother and her new problem of emotion, she continued on her way to the volcano’s mouth.

Black lands and black skies make perfect elements for a simple tatic. Ah, but alas the tactic was useless when already within a battle to the death. Death by nightfall, Birth by light. The volcano was a threat to any who couldn't stand the entense heat and the molten rock. What the great leader heading to the volcano's mouth didn't know is there was a fight close by, one to the death.
The fight was silent so no one could hear not evan the two rival fighters. Another tactic to help in battle. No figures could be seen within the darkness, both completely hidden. A figure passed by the light of the moon and silently slammed into something else. The other who had benn hit flew backward and landed against the volcano just ahead. It's black wings spread and pushed against the volcano at last second as several daggers slammed into the spot where the winged creature had been.
The creature with the black wings was in view now floating in mid air with the large wings that spread. A scyth was lodged in the wall of the volcano just meters away from the great leader as the two fighting creatures collided. Daggers went through skin and blood dripped to the earth, but niether stopped or seemed effected by the wounds. Again a figure slammed into the volcano wall this time it was the other fighter and a Dagger slammed into his head and blood flowed down his face.
A black figure grabbed the scyth and in one swift motion cut off the head of it's rival. A entertained laugh came from the winner. "Sorry just cause ya killed my parents doesn't mean you cen get me," he sneered at the dead one. He swiped a finger over the freash blood on his blade and licked it from his finger then landed on the ground folding his wings against his back. He grabbed the blade from the guys head and sheathed it. This was the creature that could cause havoc anytime and kill many.

As the battle ended, an entertained clap sounded through the silence of the kill of the entire battle. Though, Kamenwati heard nothing nor saw anything until the very last moment, she had scented the fresh blood that poured through the opened wounds of both fighters. Skilled amber eyes had caught every movement until the half breed had finally killed the rival. Many girls, even vampires and dark angels would’ve shied away from such a gruesome end but Kamenwati was far from any normal girl. The sight of battle always cut a sinister grin across the teen’s face. This battle and the sight of death had brought the leader amusement on such a day, though light amusement wouldn’t last long. “Very good” Her voice dark and cold and most defiantly heavy on the sarcasm. Sure the half breed had killed the foe and yeah, he avenged his parent’s deaths but he had been injured in the process. Again, to Kamenwati scars or wounds was a sign of slowness but even she, being half dark angel and now half goddess received minor injuries in battles. Again, amber eyes scanned the clearing and eventually to the top of the volcano. Even if the jewel was unreachable today, she at least found someone that could make a promising warrior if she had been willing to play nice. No matter what mood Kamenwati was, she wasn’t stupid; she knew playing nice with anyone was the only way to gain their trust as a leader. From the look and scent of blood the warrior gave off, she could tell he was a half breed….half dark angel and half vampire, an interesting combination. Every full blooded creature in the lands looked down upon half breeds, but even with half human blood cursing her veins Kamenwati had destroyed many. Many believed her to be weak, but then again not many knew the fear her name would cause later on. Being half human, she was given the willpower and stubbornness and yes, even compassion but as half dark angel, she was given strength and beauty. Her power now increasing since the human blood had been mostly overcome with blood of a goddess and soon, Kamenwati would claim all lands as her own. Many things could have been said in such a silence, her name, her purpose and possibly a threat…but she said nothing. If this creature standing just feet before her knew her, she wouldn’t waist energy explaining, if he didn’t and wished for a fight, he’d end up like his very kill. And if he didn’t and didn’t dare fight, he’d soon find out what she was capable of when she leapt into the volcano.

His attention was caught by the clap and he turned imself to face to person only to see the great leader. He stood still for a moment thinking on what he should do then remembered his manners. He gave a low bow to her knowing who she was for he had been in these lands for merely two days and already had heard of her and her brother. He stood straight once more and took off his sunglasses exposing his emotionless eyes.
"Thank you great leader.. I have heard much of you for only being in these lands for two days," he said with his deep venamous vocals enhanceing every word like the devil's hiss. His eyes looked over the great leader then back to her face. "Night Star at your service mistress," he said giving another small bow showing respect. He stuck the end of his scyth into the ground letting the blade shine in the little light that surrounded the area. He stretched his one wing then folded it back as the wound on him healed in a blink of an eye. He was Angel and Vampire, but he also knew of the ancient arts and of Wikka also. He was a bookie at times studying and reading in his spare time, learning more and more. He felt a small shake from the volcano and looked up to the top then back to the leader.

Kamenwati watched, not missing a single moment as the warrior healed himself. Years ago, seeing someone heal themselves after such a battle would surprise her; make her wonder how they did it. But now? Now Kamenwati knew she could do the exact same thing and if not, she’d learn. This was all part of being a leader, she let nothing surprise her, nothing irritate her into clouding her clear thinking and no matter how she felt for someone, she never let any feelings cloud her judgment as the one, and only wicked leader of these lands. As the warrior spoke, she listened. Another trait of her, she listened to every word one had to speak, almost as if she was studying what they had to say. She learned to listen, to your enemies and allies alike if you are to ever succeed as a leader.
So, those humans have done their work Kamenwati thought wickedly, remembering the villages she had ‘visited’ earlier that week. In order to draw more attention to the name, Kamenwati slaughtered hundreds of humans just inside Jasiri’s domains. Oh yes, her brother would be furious knowing that she could kill so many…so easily and he couldn’t lift a finger in return. It sucks, not having an army to follow every command and when you get something so precious you are forced to watch each and every one of them fall at your enemy’s feet. This time would be different, Kamenwati knew this. Already, Chase was training by aiding her in these village attacks and tomorrow? She was going to test the vampire’s wickedness by watching her slaughter a refugee family on their way to seek help from the great Jasiri. Now that that would be great entertainment to Kamenwati, watching and evaluating each and every wicked move of the vampire but that was a matter lost in the future. For all Kamenwati knows, she could die tonight and not be there tomorrow, such thoughts as these kept her from planning too far into the future anyway.
The words this warrior spoke after that nearly surprised Kamenwati, ‘at your service’? Did this man wish to join in on her army? Nah, he couldn’t have wanted, for all he knew she had no one in an army. Kamenwati said nothing to this, absolutely nothing…yet. But of course, the rumors spreading around these pitiful lands were true. Kamenwati was like a ghost, she showed up when you least expect it and if you carry even the slightest doubt of her power in your heart your blood stained her sword. Oh yes. Kamenwati wasn’t the type for forgiveness, despite her pathetic mother’s human blood.
Small vibrations felt throughout the grounds usually told one to leave, flee the soon to erupt volcano. Lava was something that vampires and dark angels had in common; they couldn’t withstand being exposed to the raw flame for more then a few moments. Unlike Kamenwati, who held that golden staff that would put up a barrier against it…many would have been burned to death. This would be this warrior’s test here. To see how long he would withstand the flames without fleeing and to see, just how much he trusts in the leader’s ways even if he had just met her.
